Description

“The Sound of Silence I”, an artwork part of the Floral Fusion collection, is a first black and white large fluid acrylic painting featuring botanical shapes. Inspired by the video of the incredibly powerful remake cover of “The Sound of Silence” performed by Disturbed (yes, I am a huge fan of this cover:) The painting marks my first black and white painting, and also a first in an entire series dedicated to the whole body experience I had while listening to this song over and over!
The use of fluid acrylics and the technique of pouring and moving the paint with forced air creates an organic flow that mimics the movement of flowers in nature. The Floral Fusion body of work explores the complex relationship between the familiar and the unknown, the reality and the imagination.
