Raul was born and raised in Valencia, Spain, in a neighborhood overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. His love for the ocean first led him to study cetaceans, but it was seabirds that ultimately captured his heart. As he traveled the world studying conservation biology, he naturally began photographing the landscapes and wildlife he encountered.
The photos you see here are just a snapshot of Raul’s incredible journey, from the breathtaking cliffs of Iceland and Newfoundland to the stunning National Parks of the United States. He currently lives in Yardley, PA with his partner and fellow avian biologist, Katja.
